Sharing War Secrets: Oregon Veterans redeem memories from darkness
SHARING WAR SECRETS
Oregon Veterans redeem memories from darkness
Sharing War Secrets is a staged reading of dramatic pieces written by veterans of Vietnam and the first Gulf War living with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, plus dramatized poetry.
"Recovery from PTSD takes us along a road lined with the gamut of emotion from grief and anger to hope and love,” says Sean Lewis, an Army veteran from the first Gulf War and author, who is also acting in this production. “Sharing our stories creates community. Retelling these stories now helps our community support and welcome veterans coming home from Iraq and Afghanistan."
