Monday September 8 is the next general meeting of the PDX Peace Coalition.  This one is particularly important as it involves elections to the Coordinating Committee, discussions of the Coalition gaining a fiscal sponsor under section 501(c)3 of the tax code, discussion of possible affiliation with a national anti-war coalition, and the introduction of proposals to change the structure document, along with reports on continuing campaigns and opportunities to get involved. All organizational and individual members of PDX Peace are encouraged to attend. We hope to see you there!

1. Choose timekeeper, notetaker; Introductions; pass the hat; Sanctuary City related book materials (10 min)

2. Coordinating Committee Elections (20 min)--Process explained, ballot counters chosen (Janet D)

--Candidates as of 9/3:  Megan Brooker, Alex Cooper, Janet Dietz, David Osborn, Michael Taylor.

3. Opt-Out Youth Fest introduced, handouts, PDX Peace table at event? (Mireaya) (10 min)

5. Organizational TF update:  Possible fiscal sponsorship by Physicians for Social Responsibility? (Rachel) (10 min)

6. Proposal for PDX Peace to join United for Peace and Justice (Kelly) (20 min)
